Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher

Acting Headteacher – Kyle Winter

Upon finishing my BA Primary Degree at Swansea Institute, I taught in Ealing, London for 4 years before moving back to my home town of Porthcawl. I taught in 3 different schools in Bridgend before arriving here as Deputy Head in September 2022. Outside of school, I enjoy watching sport (I’m a passionate Liverpool fan!), listening to an array of music and spending quality time with my wife and 2 daughters.

Acting Deputy Headteacher/ALNCo – Lisa Whiteman
I was born and brought up in Skewen and I have lived there all of my life.  I went to Dwr y Felin Comprehensive school then on to Neath College to do my A levels before going to Swansea University to complete a B.A.Ed Hons in Primary Education.
My first teaching post was in Croeserw Primary school where I stayed for 13 years. During in my time in Croeserw I studied part time to complete my M.A. Education degree.  I became SENCo there in 2013 before moving to Awel y Môr to become ALNCo in 2014.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family going for long walks on the beach or in the countryside with our chocolate brown Labrador,  Cassie.

Headteacher – Sam Greasley – Seconded

I grew up in Pontypool and attended Aberystwyth University where I studied Physical Geography. I qualified as a teacher in 2003 and taught in Slough and Reading before moving back to Wales in 2011 to begin my first headship in Powys. In my free time I enjoy music, reading and sport; I especially enjoy heading back to Pontypool to watch the mighty Pooler!
